Crowder has hosted some of my favorite dirt bike events: point to point races, followed by a standard cross country event, 100km gravel and trail adventures. This years R.I.M. did not disappoint. The trails had challenging root sections, rocky gardens, fast flowing single track through oaks, short punchy climbs and some that require brief spells of sitting and spinning. If I was to go feral with a dirt bike, this might be the place. I could ride these trails day after day while spooning with nature, not to mention grow some nice crops with them fertile soils.
Junior was kind enough to captain our team (Nathan Jr.) and assume true leadership by doing the LeMans start up a grueling goat path. Thanks Junior. I avoided most traffic and enjoyed an uncongested course. I was amped up after my first lap and wishing I entered the six hour because the trails were great. You could find smooth lines and keep momentum flowing through the entire course. We traded a few laps, then Junior realized that one of us was going to have to do an extra lap and volunteered me. I gladly accepted. Avoid a run and ride the trails more? Done deal.
I busted out the tank top and '94 crochet gloves for my hillbilly peeps.

Good job guys! Junior is the smartest bike captain I know and he's a smooth talker, always talked me into that extra lap as well! He deserves to coach his own pro team some day.
Love them gloves. And the tan lines are super sexy.
Super fun! I'm going to run back to the hive and tell everyone, next year will be huge!
