New Routes in Good Weather
Upper seventies in August? Really? A gift. Saturday brought gravel road exploration with a sage of the CoMo peloton. I was skeptical when he suggested the road clearly marked as a dead end connected. Never doubt your elders. We were treated to a roll through a secluded river bed, a brief lecture on right-of-way roads, a new connector road and an adventure. I topped the day off with carmel sea-salt ice cream to fuel up for day two.Headed out for day two and quickly found Double Shot sleeping. I guess after his ride on Saturday, he was still feeling fresh and went for a dirt bike ride, which led to a little drinking in the woods. True college student. Well done, Double Shot. When we woke him, he happily joined us when I promised a little trail and lots of gravel exploration. Five hours later, I wanted some more ice cream.

That loop we rode today is my new favorite.... I need the recipe for the caramel ice cream.
Is that Batye Rd. off of Cedar Tree? Anne and I were looking at that today, and on the map it connects into Wilton, but the sign says dead end.
Missed you today in Cape. That place is a hoot, you would have loved it.
We will have to come out this fall/winter and do some riding.
Yep, that's Batye Ln. A little ruff for CX bike, but fun. Connects to Wilton. Sorry I missed this one : (
I'm glad someone from Mizzou Cycling is keeping the tradition of falling asleep on the side of the road in spandex alive. Well done.
