I have the first car I bought, shirts from 20 years ago, Legos from 30 years ago, stones collected as a child on camping trips, and friends from grade school. Some things make it into my life and stay. I got the RockLobster 10 years ago, and we had great adventures. I trust it bombing down hills and know when the tires will break loose in corners (photo number 2, and yes, I still have that dress. and yes, you can say how stupid it is to unclip in corners, but old motocross habits never go away). Our relationship is not ending but changing. It will not be sold but morph into a niche bike. One of those bikes that suits a very special occasion, for example: wearing-a-groundhog-suit-while-rolling-around-town-looking-for-podium-girls type occasion. Did I get my investment out of the RockLobster? Without a doubt. It was not the coolest, lightest, newest--and never the fastest bike (motor's fault)-- but it was always ready to roll.
In hopes of avoiding the critical MacDaddy, I will include a photo of the new saddle only because there are parts from the mid-90s hanging on the new addition. Fine looking saddle.

I say polishing a turd!
Mr. Mac,
Speaking of your previous critique on the Art of Aging Your Gear the Green Beans Way... he *did* finally get new winter shoe covers. Two weeks ago.
Just because they are gone doesn't mean they will be forgotten. He'll talk about them like they are some long lost friend that has passed on. Kind of sad...not that the shoe covers are gone, but his reminiscing about them.
it's a long standing tradition to have costume parties at many times of the year in LA besides Halloween. In LA a costume party is code for "how can we get her clothes off and see some skin?" so slutty cop costumes are always available at the sto'.
