Stopped to see some Native American cliff dewellings that melded with the landscape, only to be followed by homes built on the reservations that look like the 'standard option' of subrban homes with beige siding and tan roofs. I was wallowing in self pity about losing the bike, but this reminded me that at least I did not lose a whole country. The next morning while doing my sun salutations, a raven flew by with a donut in its mouth. I took this as a sign from my spirit animal to move on and start hiking.

Sounds like you are on a soul searching journey.
Just remember that you can't join a parade without a permit.
