Junkie

I am a coffee junkie going to bed in anticipation of waking up to have coffee. I am not a coffee snob. One of my favoite cold forging drinks from the C stores scattered around rural Missouri: redneck mocha - 1/2 cup shitty coffee and 1/2 cup of shitty hot chocolate. Several years ago I was introduced to roasting my own coffee. My parents did it when they were growing up, and why did we pass this simple task on to someone else? The process is simply ordering green beans (which can be stored for 2-5 years) and roasting them in one of these for starters, then upgrading to this. Roast date? Today. The roast can be controlled to ensure fresh taste and flavor. Brewing methods vary for us. Sometimes the French press, simple as it gets. Other times the expresso pot is loaded. Stop by for a few cups, and we can chat about all the cool things people used to do but started paying someone else to do for no good reason, like this (another story).
