There are a few things that came along at the right time in my life. This weekend was one of them. Work and life had been kickin me in the crotch, so I started the weekend under-rested and stressed. Saturday was an out and back on the Upper Trace. I wondered about this trail and am kicking myself for never exploring it. Best, Doug, Jaysin, Mitch, Dwayne (who did a Berryman warm-up lap), Ploch, Greg and myself headed out. I knew from the start that there was no chance of holding on for the full ride. I got excuses, but they are just that-- excuses-- and I did not want to have to be carried back in someone's Camelbak. I was the first to turn around and made it back it time for a snack and nap. Dinner followed, then Mike demonstrated why you should ride carbon fiber and not aluminum. Middle Fork Sunday has changed my life forever. Those are some of the best trails I have ever ridden in some of the prettiest country. I want more. I spent the day hanging on to Best and Doug again. Those two are like brothers. Riding with brothers results in me being collateral damage. The Flenner boys crippled me countless times. Once on a ride with the Smith boys, Bucket threw down the challenge: "Do you want me to call Mom to come and get you?" He was talking to his brother, but I would've taken a ride. Doug and Mike are pleasant like some sort of formal duel but in a, "I am going to rip your legs off" sort of way.
In other news, repairs for my truck cost more than it is worth. Should I make the jump and go carless? If it is sold it could help me get one of these. No Mike, not one of these.

I think maybe you should look for something like this: NateMobile
And maybe in a nice primer gray to match that fleet of Moots your bound to acquire after pulling Civics out of the ditch in the winter.
