History

When I rediscovered recreational reading, I found myself wanting to learn about cycling history and learn about track racing. I checked out "Major" by Todd Balf. Did you know that cycling was America's most popular sport? How about research being funded by the government to help cyclist go faster and train better? Cyclist were submerged in water to determine how much heat they gave off related to what food they ate, which became the founding work for the modern calorie. How about segregation of cycling events? If I can read the book so can you, there are pictures, if you like dirty magazines.
