Lost again.

Went to see the Cards try to redeem themselves against the Royals, which they somewhat did. I did find out what else Boonen was doing now that he has July free. The Lion of Flanders now the Lion of KC? I recognize that mullet anywhere.

Next I caught the red-eye to a conference and got to see the Statue of Liberty while connecting. New York and New Jersey look like a mess that I never want to venture into. My final destination of Virginia Beach was masked with smoke from fires. I snuck out for rides, but it felt like smoking a pack a day compressed into an hour ride. Urban congestion made riding from the city impossible. Local shops said "It is not bad, you only have to drive 15 minutes to get out of town." Yo heart BoCoMo where I can ride my two-wheeled dream machine everywhere. Not to mention the signs confused me.
I did score at a crazy oriental market with a bonanza of freaky drinks. Mr. Brown blue mountain style iced coffee was smooth and sported a picture of someone you might recognize if you were at Tim Abell's for a party. Regardless Mr. Brown makes a mighty fine coffee drink, if I do say so myself. The Aloe Vera Honey drink tasted like a paint can that had sat too long and started to solidify. I tried to recreate an episode in 9th grade where it was the first and last time I ever drank vodka. I choked down about a quarter of the can before I started to gag, and Chula marveled at my ability to choke out "that's disgusting," toss back another drink, gasp in pain, then offer her a sip. The White Gourd drink tasted like burned graham crackers. The Grass Jelly Drink tasted like sweet charcoal but in a good way. Plus, it is highly entertaining because it was black with chunks. The Honey Red Ginseng tasted like incense smells. There is only one hippie that burns incense to cover up that smell.Went to the Chrysler Art Museum where I got photographed with statues of modern day sports heroes. Go light some self propelled litter for Independence Day.
