Interview from BoCoMo's Two Wheeled Rolling Circus of Fun, Fury and Fantasy.

When I moved back to BoCoMo after a six-year vacation, Clinger (moved to another sitcom full of beautiful people fer sure) was chewing my ear off about Tuesday Night Worlds. He was describing the players and said “There is this guy who is so fat he rides bow legged, he normally is in a red t-shirt, but he will rip everyone’s legs off.” I will write an extended version about my first trip to Tuesday Night Worlds, but this is about Fish. Fish was that guy in the t-shirt, and he did rip everyone’s legs off. Fish got his name from someone who said he’s “just a big fish in a little pond” (BoCoMo). Brinker confirms this “I like his pole, fishing pole that is.” wink-wink. Whatever MidWest Hef.

Fish is a big fish. He finished 2nd at Snake Alley in the mid-90’s in the pro field, was invited to race for the US National team in Mexico in 1988 and took 12th in the Olympic Qualifying TT the same year, won winter nationals (aka Froze Toes) this year, and I have never seen him dropped in our little rolling sitcom. He says his role in the show is to “keep his thumbs warm at all times.” I have no idea what this means but also know nothing about his thumbs.

His favorite animal is Butthead. When Fish is not dropping us or making me foam at the mouth, he does some mighty fine picking on the banjo and a little singing.

His goals are to go top 10 in his age group at the national time trial and go top 10 in his age group at cross nationals. He got 7th at the master national time trial. You are probably scoffing at 7th but think of it this way, he rode at 45.82 kmh for an hour or 28.47 mph for an hour. He will probably drop you while he gets ready for cross nationals where he will drop you.

“He is the antagonizer of the peloton but also offers positive encouragement,” says ProPam.

Butthead points out “For an old, fat ugly guy he sucks.”

Bunny Rhines (once a cast member) says “He defies physics. Let me clarify that: For being fat, he can climb better than most skinny guys.”

Miltenburg, Brandon and Benji all claim he has lots of experience and knowledge and is like the Father of the BoCoMo peloton. (He is, at the very least, father to Guppie.)

Fish is the only one in the peloton to have a bike named after him. A former member of the BoCoMo peloton had a bike repainted with “Pork Ethan” on the down tube. There’s a lot of speculation about what that means, but the owner maintains that it is a tribute to Fish.
