Ridden down a fair share of

I have ridden through hollers in Missouri and Arkansas, gulches in Colorado, arroyos in California and canyons in Utah shaped by time through chemical and physical weathering.  Ridding home from work I took a few seconds between dodging buses to look up and around.  The stone buildings recently shaped by humans are amazing and they are urban canyons.
Exploring the city is fun and new but the diesel fumes and traffic are not my preference.  The city coated in years of smog and particulate matter makes me fear my lungs are becoming black and shrived up like raisins.  I would eagerly trade dodging trees rather than taxis and soil rather than impermeable surface areas.
